Ellen Health Website

Ellen Health is a medical centre boasting a multi-disciplinary team of more than 30 health professionals offering a wide range of medical services. The task given to the team at Flametree was to redesign their online platform to inform visitors about the extent of services offered and the means of accessing them. It was also to keep patients informed about their health and provide a means of booking appointments .

The site needed to be engaging, responsive, easy to use and administer, and compatible with social media such as Twitter and Facebook feeds.

Flametree recommended a proprietary platform which offered all the required functionality for developing the site. We then set about designing the homepage and a sample doctor's page to demonstrate the visual components and how users would navigate the site. This was approved and we set about applying the brand across the remaining pages. Flametree also set up a photoshoot for all the medical and administration staff to ensure a consistency of style. When all the remaining pages had been built, and content added, the client was asked to proof the site in the development space before it went live and replaced the old site. Final amendments were made and the site launched on a Sunday to avoid disruption. Key staff were given a comprehensive familiarisation session on the new site's content and management before the site was handed over.

The site has now been live since 2018. During this time it has functioned without a hiccup as it welcomes an average of 9000 visitors a month. The Ellen Health staff manage and modify the content themselves and have given us glowing feedback. We have since built websites for other medical practices on the strength of this example.
