Printed marketing materials for 'Willie'

The owners of the iconic Willie pearl lugger tasked us with the re-launch of the boat onto the Broome market after an absence of five years. Willie was a Broome legend, sailing at sunset each day along Cable beach and beyond for many years.

To re-introduce the cruises, we created a strong brand that had a vintage feel and featured the boat itself. We wanted a brand that was easily recognised and offered great tourism and marketing depth.

Once established, we set about applying the brand to a suite of marketing assets including an interactive website, posters brochures, billboards and a full size coach wrap.

Willie is now firmly back sailing the turquoise blue waters of Broome, packed with passengers every evening at sunset during the season.

Printed material design

Flametree Creative designed various kind of printed materials for Willie Pearl Lugger Cruises with the aim of promoting their new business. To some, print is an old-fashioned medium, overtaken by digital marketing, but this is not the case for WIllie.

Alongside delivering their website, we were also tasked with delivering business cards, brochures, bus wrap, flags, and many more. Our talented graphic designers are expert in creating beautiful images and graphics. From editing and manipulating photos to designing a bus wrap, we have it all covered.

During the development process, Flametree Creative explored design components and styles that were able to stretch and convey the right tone for their target market. We considered imagery, typography, colour schemes and layout styles that would provide flexibility but remain aesthetically strong. We developed concepts that were initially expressed through mood boards, injecting dynamism and vibrancy. And, while each printed media has its own purpose, we are making sure that they speak with the same voice.

The result is a solid set of printed and digital materials that invite people to experience Willie Pearl Lugger Cruises.
