Octagon BKG Lifts came to us seeking to rebrand and position themselves as Western Australia's premier lift suppliers and installers. The new brand was to encompass all areas of the business and employed across various communication platforms.
We set about examining the existing brand and others in the same space to establishing how we could best position the Octagon brand to occupy a distinctive place in the marketplace.
It was decided that the brand needed to reflect the high degree of professionalism applied by Gary Grimes and his team in every job they undertake. The attention to detail necessary to be successful in this field should also be communicated. Octagon could also set itself apart from the others by virtue of its name and the expression of its personality through a unique visual identity.
Our designers set to work using type styles and colour pallets that would communicate these values and produced several different brand concepts with a focusing on the brand mark which were presented to the client. One design was chosen and with some fine tuning of minor details the brand was established.
The Brief
The Flametree team then got to work applying the new brand across a wide range of applications, including stationery, uniforms, signage, vehicle wraps, website and on any other touch points where the business interfaced with the public. This has ensured that in all its activities Octagon presents an aligned appearance which reinforcing the positive attributes of the brand which gets stronger each time it its seen.
To be sure that the brand's integrity in maintained into the future, Flametree also delivered a brand manual which documents the essential ingredients required to make sure the brand and other design elements are used by as intended. This details items such as colour pallets, type usage, use of the brand mark and other design elements.
